Great Alaska Give-Away
How it works:
Home owners put unwanted items at the end of their driveways on the last Saturday of each summer month and allow people to cart them away at no cost. A copy of the Great Alaska Give-Away logo can be printed and placed on the give-away items so only designated items are taken. At the end of the pick-up hours (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.), disposal of any remaining items is the responsibility of the owner.

Purpose:
- To conserve the earth’s resources by promoting re-use of your usable give-away items
- To provide a convenient way for local people to share their abundance with their neighbors
- To create an economical alternative for disposal of unwanted items
- To save Municipal tax dollars by extending the life of the landfill
