Sunday School - 9:45 to 10:45 a.m., September through May

Exploring Prayer, led by Abbe Dunning Newbury
Are you hesitant about praying, wondering if you’re doing it right, or are you unsure about how to begin? Perhaps you pray daily, but want to deepen your experience. Join with us as we explore prayer in a small group setting. We will examine contemplative prayer forms such as lectio divina and meditation. Although participants are encouraged to join the class on a regular basis, drop-ins are welcome. Meets in the room next to Pastor Carlo's office.

Methodism 101: Social Principles, led by Pastor Carlo Rapanut
Have you ever wondered about the United Methodist Church’s stand on the pressing social, economic, environmental and political issues facing our world today? Join the Methodism 101 Sunday School class as they study the UMC Social Principles. Meets in the middle room of the church office suite.

Seasons of the Spirit, led by Jan Glines
The class consists of a guided discussion of the lectionary scriptures for each Sunday.  Although participants are encouraged to pre-read and prayerfuly consider the verses during the week, drop-ins are welcome. Meets in Classroom B34.

Sunday Book Club, led by Holly Boothe and Sandra Lambert
A current fiction or nonfiction book is read by participants during the week and a discussion on specific chapters is held during the Sunday School hour. Meets in Classroom B2.

Disciple Program - Jesus in the Gospels

Disciple is a program of disciplined Bible study aimed at developing strong Christian leaders. Over the course of the five-phase Disciple Bible study, participants study the entire Bible in survey fashion followed by in-depth study of the whole Bible according to groupings of literature. A different class is offered each year, with registration in the fall. Meets in Classroom B2.

Bible Study - Luke

Kay Abrams will lead a New Testament Bible study of Luke.  Please join us for what is sure to be a lively discussion about the Bible and life in ancient times. Meets in the Narthex, outside the Sanctuary, on the second floor.
