Children's Garden

Each spring, children of the church participate in a Planting Party, sowing seeds and setting out plants in a garden plot off our lower parking lot. Adults and children tend the seedlings, water faithfully and wage war on the weeds throughout the summer. The fruits of their labors are periodically sent to the local Food Pantry. The grand finale is an event much anticipated by all those who worked (and some who didn't) on the garden all summer. The Big Dig, when we dig up the potato crop in the fall. Even more rewarding is delivering them to the Food Pantry.

Anticipated improvements include moose-proof fencing and creating a community gardening space.
