Altar Quilt for Maundy Thursday, April 1, 2010
“This quilt is more than 100 years old! We’ve lost track of exactly which family member made the quilt, but my grandmother always said that the quilter used her wedding suit material to make parts of the crazy quilt. Since I personally love to quilt, I was the one chosen to receive the quilt when my grandmother passed away. I hope someday to research the names which are embroidered on it. In the meantime, it remains a bit of my heritage that, in its mystery, still ties me to my family of long ago.”
