Serving in Worship
One of the ways you may serve during worship is to be the Worship Leader. The reader gives a distinct human voice to the word of God in the scripture. All voices are worthy for the clothing of God's scripture.
Worship Leader
- Sign up to be a worship leader by clicking on this link:
- Contact the pastor prior to Sunday if you have questions
- Practice reading your part of the service (bulletins are available online by Friday of each week)
- The part you will read includes: Prayer of Safety, Call to Worship, Announce the hymns, all scripture except the Gospel (read by the pastor), Prayer of Confession, and the prayer immediately after the offering
- Arrive 10 minutes prior to the Sunday worship service
- Stand in the back of the sanctuary with the pastor prior to the service
- Assist acolytes with lighting their torch and ringing the bell.
